New milestone in the CBTC project
In Sporveien, their CBTC project has reached a new milestone. The first pilot train of the MX3000 was delivered to Siemens on the 4th of September for the installation of CBTC onboard equipment and adaptation to semi-automatic performance.
In addition to the new CBTC components located under, inside, and on the roof, 4,5 kilometers of cables, 46 new relays, a new driver's desk, etc., will be installed before commencing an extensive testing phase. Following the installation and testing of two pilot trains, the conversion of the remaining 115 trains is scheduled to commence in approximately one year. During the migration period, the MX3000 will be capable of operating on both the old and new signal systems. RailAdvice takes great pride and is pleased to offer its expertise in rolling stock and RAMS to support Sporveien in this exciting project!
